Dimexon is spotlighted in the latest WJI 2030 report for its ambitious renewable energy transition, marking a milestone in the company’s journey toward transparent, measurable sustainability leadership.
As the global watch and jewellery industry continues its transformation toward greater sustainability efforts, Dimexon is proud to be recognised in the 2024/2025 Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030 (WJI 2030) Stakeholder Report for our significant progress in climate action.
Released on April 3, during Watches and Wonders in Geneva, the report captures a pivotal moment for the luxury sector - one defined by collaboration, transparency and measurable impact. Dimexon was chosen to be a case study in the report due to our commitment to decarbonising operations and advancing environmental stewardship through renewable energy investment.

Switch to solar power
Dimexon’s diamond manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, India – which is responsible for 85% of our company’s carbon emissions – transitioned to 75% solar energy in 2024. This strategic shift resulted in a reduction of 942 tonnes of CO₂ emissions in just eight months, the equivalent of taking 220 cars off the road for a year.
The transition underscores Dimexon’s long-standing ethos of ethical and responsible business and its continued evolution through the guidance and accountability provided by WJI 2030.

Rajiv Mehta, Dimexon group director and chair of the ESG Committee at WJI 2030, comments in the report: “In today’s market, consumers demand more than beauty – they expect integrity. Transparency and accountability aren’t just ethical imperatives; they’re essential for building trust and ensuring long-term success.”
Dimexon’s progress forms part of a broader climate resilience strategy led by WJI 2030, whose members are aligned around three strategic pillars: building climate resilience, preserving resources and fostering inclusiveness. As part of its commitment, Dimexon has submitted its Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) letter and is on track to deliver further carbon reductions through 2025.
Collective impact through shared accountability
The third edition of the annual Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030 Stakeholder Report reveals growing industry-wide adoption of the Impact Action Journey Framework, a digital reporting system developed with ESG Book. The framework helps companies to track and report ESG progress transparently and consistently.
As one of the initiative’s early members and active participants in its ESG governance, Dimexon continues to play a leadership role in shaping a responsible and future-proof jewellery industry. The company’s inclusion in this year’s report is a testament to its resolve in balancing commercial excellence with environmental responsibility.
In the words of the report, “the future belongs to businesses that generate positive impact – genuine transformation requires decisive and collective action”. At Dimexon, this future is already underway.
