Dimexon: Ahead of its time

Dimexon was featured in the latest issue of Rapaport Magazine, with an interview with our chief growth officer Morgane Winterholer that explores how our family-run company has become a leader in ESG within the natural diamond sector, building on values first established nearly 60 years ago.

 

The article, written by luxury journalist Elisa Anniss, traces our journey from the vision of founder Pankaj Mehta, who created opportunities for women in diamond manufacturing in India as early as the 1970s, to the company’s present role as a responsible and innovative manufacturer, trusted by many of the world’s leading luxury brands.

 

 

Our ESG milestones highlighted in the article include:

  • Renewable energy transition: Our Coimbatore facility now runs on 75% solar power, reducing CO₂ emissions by 942 metric tons in just eight months
  • Traceability leadership: Dimexon diamonds are guaranteed natural, fully traceable and ethically crafted, supported by advanced digital systems that track them through the supply chain from mine to sale
  • Women’s empowerment: Today, women represent 76% of our workforce, including in senior management roles, reflecting our commitment to equal opportunity as a signatory of the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)
  • ESG embedded at every level: From our manufacturing sites to our offices worldwide, we are guided by four core pillars – Environmental Synergy, Product Integrity, Social Stewardship, and Responsible Business Conduct

 

 

In the interview, Morgane Winterholer, comments: “It’s part of our guiding principle that growth should be not just profitable, but sustainable.”
