Dimexon is proud to announce the publication of our 2026 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, Crafted with Transparency.

The report documents Dimexon’s progress in 2025 and sets out our priorities for the years to come. Crafted with Transparency is our fifth annual ESG report, published as Dimexon marks 60 years in business and 50 years as a De Beers Sightholder.

“Crafted with Transparency reflects the values that have guided Dimexon for six decades,” says Dimexon CEO Rajiv Mehta. “For us, performance and integrity are inseparable, and trust is built through the care we take in our work and the transparency with which we share it.

One of the ESG major developments outlined in the report is the launch in 2025 of Infinitrace, Dimexon’s proprietary traceability platform, which was the first in the industry to merge provenance data with impact metrics. The report also charts the company’s advances across its climate and nature strategies, and fresh steps taken to further invest in its people and communities.

Dimexon’s ESG reporting focuses on four pillars: Environmental Synergy, Product Integrity, Social Stewardship and Responsible Business Conduct. Highlights from this year’s report include:

As Dimexon publishes its 2026 ESG report, Crafted with Transparency, our CEO Rajiv Mehta and group director Vishal Mehta reflect on how the company’s focus on ESG influenced every facet of our business last year – and will continue to do so in the years to come

As Dimexon marks 60 years in business and we publish our 2026 ESG report, Crafted with Transparency, we are continuing to strengthen our foundations through purpose-led progress, operational excellence and long-term partnerships built on trust.

In 2025, Dimexon cut absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% against our 2019 baseline and submitted near-term and net zero targets to the SBTi. As we mark 60 years in diamonds and 50 years as a De Beers Group Sightholder, these results reflect how performance and responsibility now move together across everything we do.

In an industry defined by traceability, transparency and trust, we see evolving regulations and supply chain expectations not as compliance burdens, but as opportunities to strengthen accountability, resilience and long-term stakeholder confidence.

Integrity defines our diamonds
Product integrity remains one of Dimexon’s strongest differentiators. In 2025, we strengthened transparency with key customers through Infinitrace, our proprietary traceability reporting system.

Infinitrace shares origin insights and key ESG metrics – including gender equality, Zero Waste to Landfill status, and Scope 1 and 2 emissions – for the melee diamonds we supply. Built on our SAP backbone and complemented by our new Salesforce-powered CRM platform, it provides auditable, system-verified traceability from origin through to assurance, reinforcing end-to-end supply chain accountability.

Advancing climate and environmental stewardship
Our environmental priorities – energy, emissions, waste and water – are addressed through targeted initiatives that support long-term resource efficiency and resilience.

We have aligned our climate strategy with the Science Based Targets initiative, submitting both near-term and net-zero targets under the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard across Scope 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions. We also progressed our Nature Strategy and Roadmap, building on the biodiversity assessment conducted as part of our Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030 commitment.

Empowering people, strengthening communities
Our people remain central to responsible growth. In 2025, our Coimbatore facility onboarded 250 undergraduate trainees, delivering approximately 18,000 training days. Our maiden employee engagement survey achieved a 96% response rate, generating insights now guiding initiatives across career visibility, recognition and collaboration.

Diversity, inclusion and workplace dignity are embedded throughout our policies and employment frameworks, covering gender equality, disability inclusion, and prevention of harassment. Beyond our workforce, community initiatives focused on education, healthcare and women’s empowerment continue to support long-term social mobility in the regions where we operate.

Setting the standard for responsible business
Strong governance underpins our long-term credibility. During the year, we formalised a CXO-led governance structure, strengthening executive accountability and strategic coordination.

Our commitment to responsible sourcing was reaffirmed through the successful three years RJC recertification, our continued De Beers Group Sightholder status, and our membership of the World Diamond Council since the inception of the Kimberley Process in 2003.

Positioning for the future
Responsibility continues to guide every decision at Dimexon. As we pursue our growth ambitions and expand into key markets, we remain focused on advancing sustainable luxury through carbon reduction, technology-enabled provenance and stronger traceability across the value chain. From source to strategy: Siddharth Javeri on rough diamonds

Drawing on eight years working in Angola, Dimexon Rough Diamond Manager Siddharth Javeri discusses the experiences that shaped his approach to traceability, risk and sourcing – and how cross-functional collaboration at Dimexon is helping to deliver greater value for clients.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us how your career in diamonds began?

“I grew up in Belgium before moving to London, where I completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Investment and Financial Risk Management.  This led me to a career in finance which provided a strong professional framework that I was later able to apply to the diamond industry. Through a series of chance encounters and unexpected opportunities, I found myself living and working in Angola, where I helped to establish a diamond-sourcing operation. That experience laid the foundations for the career I have today. I am now responsible for non-contractual rough sourcing at Dimexon.”

How did your eight years in Angola shape your understanding of the diamond industry?

“It was a period of significant personal and professional growth. I deepened my product knowledge, but I also learned how to operate in an extremely dynamic environment in which market conditions, risks and priorities can change quickly. Working at source gave me a much broader understanding of the issues shaping our industry, from traceability and System of Warranties requirements to compliance, market dynamics and risk management. Adapting to change and mitigating risk became almost second nature.”

What did working at the source teach you about the wider diamond value chain?

“At the source, you see the full picture: the mining operations, political environment, compliance realities and communities connected to the industry. Some of this context can become less visible by the time a parcel reaches a trading or manufacturing centre. That experience made me particularly conscious of the importance of provenance and pipeline integrity. These principles are central to Dimexon’s approach to sourcing, and we work proactively to identify and mitigate potential risks throughout our value chain.”

How do you view Angola’s place within today’s rough diamond market?

“Angola is an important part of the global rough diamond supply mix, despite its mining sector historically receiving less investment than some of its peers. Its production has the potential to increase, while the fragmented nature of the sector can create interesting sourcing opportunities. My experience there also helps me assess the country’s role within a much wider picture, taking into account not only availability and market dynamics, but also compliance, traceability and counterparty risk.”

What does your current role at Dimexon involve?

“My role is to identify the right rough diamonds, at the right value, outside Dimexon’s structured contractual supply channels. This requires close relationships with suppliers, a detailed understanding of our product requirements and careful assessment of which tenders are best aligned with our needs. Although my core responsibility is rough sourcing, the role extends beyond purchasing. As part of Dimexon’s vision to be future perfect, I am also involved in initiatives across different departments that aim to streamline our operations, strengthen traceability and ultimately deliver greater value to our clients.”

How does cross-functional collaboration support this work?

“One example is my involvement in Dimexon’s Advanced Planning and Scheduling system. The project connects the journey from rough sourcing through manufacturing to the polished diamonds delivered to our clients. Working across this process has given me a deeper understanding of each stage of our operations and how individual decisions affect the wider organisation. More recently, we completed our first direct shipment of rough diamonds from Dubai direct to our manufacturing facility in Coimbatore – usually the diamonds would first travel to our Mumbai offices before being sent south to Coimbatore. This required close collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders, helping us to create a more streamlined route into manufacturing. These initiatives also create opportunities to connect operational improvements with our traceability KPIs, strengthening the information and assurance we can provide to clients.”

In your opinion, what are the most significant sourcing risks facing the industry?

“Knowing your supplier is far more than a regulatory requirement. It means understanding who participates in your value chain and ensuring that every relationship meets the standards expected by Dimexon and its clients. Our clients need confidence in where and how their diamonds have been sourced. Counterparty checks, compliance processes and traceability are therefore essential. Reputational risk is especially important because a single failure can undermine trust built over many years.”

What has stood out to you about Dimexon’s people and culture?

“Although I have only been with Dimexon for just over a year, I have been struck by the depth of knowledge and experience around me. I work alongside seasoned industry professionals whose expertise is invaluable as we navigate a fluctuating market. There is also a clear willingness to challenge established ways of working. Senior leadership has created an environment in which people are given the space and tools to think differently, while remaining focused on clear business and client outcomes. That combination of experience, collaboration and fresh thinking gives us a strong foundation from which to address the challenges ahead.”

SBTi validates Dimexon’s net-zero targets

Dimexon’s near-term and net-zero science-based targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), marking an important milestone in our climate journey.

SBTi validation provides independent confirmation that our targets are grounded in climate science and aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement. It strengthens the credibility of our climate commitments and provides a clear, measurable framework through which our progress can be assessed.

Our validated targets

Dimexon has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050.

In addition to this, our near-term targets, measured against a 2019 base year, are to:

Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 48.91% by 2030
Reduce absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2% by 2030

Our long-term targets, also measured against a 2019 base year, are to:

Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 95% by 2050
Reduce absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050

Scope 1 covers emissions generated directly by our operations, while Scope 2 relates to the energy we purchase. Scope 3 encompasses indirect emissions across our wider value chain.

Ahead of our near-term targets

Dimexon has already achieved the emissions reductions required under its near-term targets, ahead of the 2030 deadline. This progress reflects sustained action across our operations, including the transition of our Coimbatore diamond manufacturing facility to 75% solar energy in 2024.

While reaching this threshold early is a significant achievement, our work continues. Maintaining these reductions, driving further progress and addressing emissions throughout our value chain will remain essential as we move towards our long-term net-zero ambition.

“This validation is an important achievement as it demonstrates that our decarbonisation targets are science-based and aligned with the latest climate science and the goals of the Paris Agreement,” says Dimexon ESG Business Partner Mohd Hasan Khan. “It also enhances the credibility of our climate commitments with customers, investors, and other stakeholders, while reinforcing our leadership in sustainability.”

For Dimexon, this milestone is both recognition of the progress already made and a foundation for the work still ahead.

WJI 2030 launches 2025/2026 Progress Report

The Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030 (WJI 2030) has published its 2025/2026 Progress Report, charting the milestones achieved through collective action across the global watch and jewellery value chain.

The report considers sustainability within an increasingly complex operating environment, shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, evolving regulation and heightened stakeholder expectations. It positions climate, nature, water stewardship and inclusiveness not as standalone considerations, but as interconnected drivers of long-term business resilience and value protection.

It also captures the progress of WJI 2030 and its members across the initiative’s three strategic pillars – Building Climate Resilience, Preserving Resources and Fostering Inclusiveness – and highlights the practical tools, research and partnerships developed to help companies translate commitments into measurable action.

A central focus is the WJI 2030 Impact Action Journey Framework, hosted on the ESG Book digital platform. Designed for organisations at different stages of their sustainability journeys, the tiered framework provides a shared structure through which companies can measure, manage and disclose their performance. WJI 2030 reports that 56 maison and partner members are now voluntarily reporting their actions and progress through the framework.

Rajiv Mehta, CEO of Dimexon and Chair of the WJI 2030 ESG Committee, contributed to the report, underlining the fundamental relationship between transparent reporting and trust: “In today’s environment, transparency is no longer optional; it is the foundation of trust. Reporting is how we demonstrate that our commitments are real, measurable, and progressing. The WJI 2030 Action Framework gives our industry a common language, ensuring that progress can be tracked, compared, and built upon year after year.

“For an industry whose value is so deeply tied to integrity and craftsmanship, this kind of rigorous, transparent reporting is not just good practice – it is who we must be.”

For Dimexon, participation in WJI 2030 reflects our belief that meaningful progress requires both individual accountability and collective action. Common frameworks allow businesses across the value chain to learn from one another, identify areas for improvement and build a clearer picture of progress across the industry.

The Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030 (WJI 2030) case study is based on an interview with our Chief Growth Officer, Morgane Winterholer, and highlights the steps Dimexon is taking to better understand, measure and manage its relationship with nature.

Among the milestones highlighted are our first TNFD-aligned assessment in 2025, which enabled us to identify and prioritise nature-related Dependencies, Impacts, Risks and Opportunities (DIROs) across our value chain. Light defines a diamond.

It reveals its beauty, precision and character. Light is also what defines our principles: a steadfast commitment to clarity, transparency and purpose at every stage of the diamond value chain.

As we mark our 60th anniversary in 2026, we are introducing a new brand that expresses these principles. At its core is light.

This concept is expressed through a refreshed visual language. Our redesigned logo incorporates subtle slashes, evoking beams of light as they pass through a diamond, while a distinctive light-beam motif flows through the wider brand identity.

A colour palette inspired by the tones of sunlight introduces warmth and vitality, reinforcing the connection between light, beauty and responsible practices.

Our first Double Materiality Assessment

For Dimexon, sustainability is not a peripheral consideration but a core strategic imperative. As part of strengthening our responsible business practices and aligning with emerging global standards, we undertook our first Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) to identify the ESG topics that are most relevant to our operations, value chain and stakeholders.

DMA is grounded in the principles outlined by the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Double materiality is a concept that allows organisations to look material topics through two distinct but interconnected lenses. On one hand, impact materiality considers how our operations, products and value chain affect the environment and society. On the other, financial materiality evaluates how sustainability-related risks and opportunities could influence the financial health and resilience of our business.

Conducting a DMA enabled us to sharpen our sustainability focus and meet growing expectations for transparency and responsible conduct. This assessment is a dynamic framework that continuously informs our strategic direction and operational choices. It enables us to anticipate and respond to evolving ESG risks, while identifying opportunities that align with our values and long-term ambitions.

Our Double Materiality Assessment Process

The DMA process reflects a commitment to structured, impact-informed decision-making, stakeholder inclusivity, and alignment with leading global standards. This approach allows us to understand not only how sustainability issues impact our business, but also how our operations effect society and the environment. To carry out the assessment, we followed a multi-step, evidence-based methodology that combined internal analysis with external stakeholder engagement.

Step 1: Identifying material topics

We began the assessment by establishing a comprehensive universe of sustainability topics. This involved reviewing Dimexon’s existing focus areas alongside the topic lists prescribed under ESRS, key standards and ratings, including SASB, MSCI, Sustainalytics and DJSI.

We benchmarked material issues disclosed by key peers, customers and suppliers to ensure we include the complete value chain in alignment with market expectations. Additionally, we conducted secondary research to capture emerging industry trends and ESG priorities shaping the sector.

This exercise resulted in a refined list of material topics that are most relevant to our organisation, both in terms of their contribution to internal long-term value creation and external environmental and societal impacts.

Step 2: Mapping impacts, risks, and opportunities

We then systematically assessed how each sustainability topic aligns with Dimexon’s operations and value chain, identifying areas where our operations or value chain are responsible for significant positive and negative impacts on people and the environment. At the same time, we considered how these topics could give rise to financial risks or opportunities, depending on our exposure and preparedness. Sector trends, regulatory developments and internal risk frameworks informed this mapping.

Step 3: Stakeholder identification and engagement

Once this was complete, we identified and mapped key stakeholder groups whose perspectives are critical to understanding Dimexon’s impacts, risks and opportunities. These included both internal (senior management, functional heads, employees, workers) and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, industry bodies).

Each engagement was tailored to ensure relevance and depth. We used a mix of surveys, interviews, and one-on-one consultations, selecting the format best suited to each stakeholder group. Rather than a broad-brush approach, each stakeholder was consulted only on topics aligned with their specific role, expertise, or connection to Dimexon, ensuring that the input we gathered was meaningful and actionable.

Each group brought unique insights into our value chain and sustainability priorities. Their inputs helped shape a more grounded and relevant assessment process, ensuring the topics we prioritised reflect both regulatory expectations and industry requirements, along with on-the-ground realities and sector-specific needs.

Step 4: Assessing materiality and setting the threshold

At this stage, we determined which topics qualify as material by applying a defined threshold. This involved evaluating the significance of each topic based on its relevance to Dimexon’s business context, and its broader environmental and social footprint. We established thresholds to prioritise topics that reflect substantial impacts or present notable risks or opportunities. This helped us focus our strategy and disclosures on the issues that matter most.

Step 5: Developing the Double Materiality Matrix

Using the outcomes from our impact and financial assessments, we mapped each topic onto a Double Materiality Matrix. This visual representation highlights where environmental and social impacts intersect with risks and opportunities for Dimexon’s business.

Topics positioned in the upper right quadrant with significant impact and financial relevance were prioritised. This matrix serves as a strategic tool, guiding our sustainability focus, and ensuring our efforts are aligned with both stakeholder expectations and long-term business value.
